May is rounding out to be a very busy month for the team here at Our Fine Yarnery. Since I last wrote to you, some lovely new patterns from Blue Sky Fibers have arrived. Make sure you check out The Spring Hill Sweater (a classic knit), The Pine Island Pullover (with optional cowl) and the easiest piece you will make this year, The Afton Shrug. I only managed to get three of each pattern as demand is high so make sure you check them out under Blue Sky Fibers Patterns.
Our French DMC 100% Baby Cotton has been a huge hit and we are selling out of the matching baby patterns at the rate of knots. I'll be adding new ones all the time so keep checking in if you have missed out so far. I can't wait to see some of these made up. They have very modern colours for babies.
I must let you know too that I have finished my virus shawl that I was telling you about. I am up to the blocking now. I am very much hoping that restrictions will soon be lifted and I can take it to my Aunty in her nursing home. If the weather is anything to go by, it will be a wonderful and welcome surprise for her.
You, my customers, colleagues and fellow crafters really mean a lot to me. It can be quite a lonely thing at times having a small business so catching up with you all really does me the world of good. To think I can make your day by finding something that you are excited about receiving, and sitting down happily to work on, is well pretty darn good. So please share with me how you are going. I very much like to know how your project is coming along.
My lovely customer Maxine shared with me how happy she was with her yarn and sent me through photos of her finished work. I was stoked! Maxine truly made my day. I haven't forgotten her and I sent her through some complimentary yarn to thank her for sharing in the earliest days of Our Fine Yarnery. So don't forget to get back to me, send me your thoughts, share your wips and photos of your finished work. I'd like to remember you too!
Now for the naughty bit. You know that terrible affliction that we all suffer from sometimes where unfinished pieces lay about and you just become compelled to start something new? Yes, I weakened. I have started a new top in Organic Cotton "Drift". Guilty as charged. You can keep a check on my progress with this through my Insta/FB stories.
I hope everyone is well and hanging in there, I think we can all soon go out for coffee!
