Hello my dear friends,
I am very happy to say our little boy arrived safely and is a happy and healthy little chap. He was a long time coming and planned well before covid was a high frequency word in our vocabulary. It feels very strange to raise him in such unusual times and it is worrying to contemplate what covid means for our little people that are our future. I am optimistic though, that we will see much better times and learn from the experience as to what is really to be valued and cherished in life.
I have missed chatting with you all whilst I have been on break and hope that you are busy working on fun projects to keep you focused during isolation. My crochet has been my go-to when times get a bit tough. I am so thankful for my love of craft. The odd easy-to-watch Netflix series (eg Virgin River) that happily rolls along as I crochet is an added treat. At the moment I am enjoying working on a shawl using a Scheepjes Fine Art Whirl and making it much larger by adding the matching Merino Soft to the border. I have finished one and am well on the way to completing a second one.
But most of all I love being a mum again. I know how fleeting these early days are - before I know it our little boy will be grown and making his own way in the world. I am far more aware of the preciousness of life and special moments. As such I have decided to step back from my little business and take more time to enjoy this gift I have been given. I love my business but it does take all my time and energy to keep it up to the high standard that I, and my customers, expect.
